Why is TNA Superior to WWE
17/07/2010 14:12
|
There are a lot of opinions on the Internet, from fans of wrestling who remain loyal to the WWE and say that TNA will never get to the level of WWE.
Well looking at the last year or so, it`s hard to argue with the fact that while WWE has struggled and actually suffered in ratings and developments, TNA has thrived and has only moved forward.
WWE had to deal with a difficult situation in the Benoit tragedy and how it`s affected the overall outlook on wrestling as a whole which let`s face it, WWE represents on a global level. Main event wrestlers were suspended, fired and limited more than ever on what they can and can`t do in the ring as a result.
Most fans who have been following wrestling know that Vince Mcmahon is a fan of larger wrestlers, looking at guys like Batista, Triple H, John Cena, Big Daddy V, Chris Masters the Great Khali among others. If you look at the TNA Roster, the talent these guys got is absolutely amazing.
Yet, we look to TNA and you got the major stars that were developed in TNA include Samoa Joe, who`s 280 pounds but wrestles like a cruiserweight (former X-division champion), as well as guys like Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Low Ki, Jay Lethal, and so many other x-division wrestlers. While there are constant rumors about TNA wrestlers being unhappy, they continue to deliver great matches that are memorable and that`s something we at tnafansite.com appreciate.
The point here is that while there are big guys in TNA, a lot of the focus is on the athleticism and actual wrestling that goes down while WWE is more about the guys being high impact, larger than life etc.
For this very reason, I truly believe that TNA is going to surpass WWE and in some ways already has although its not the case in the ratings but that takes time and I have no doubt it will come.
Of course to be fair , you can`t really compare the two companies yet since they are not on the same level yet, they aren`t even airing on the same nights as TNA is on Thursdays, while WWE has shows on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
When you watch the TNA PPVs, you see such a big difference in effort, in pace of the matches and in just giving the fans what they want and thats why I believe TNA is going to become stronger and while WWE may bounce back from the unfortunate circumstances they had to deal with in 2007, they`ll need to really step up their game and change their way of thinking and how they push their wrestlers and who they get to represent their company as the top dogs.
Looking at two of the upcoming pay per views of each respective companies, you have WWE and the very popular Royal Rumble which has always been one of the major 5 pay per views of the year.
However, this year there seems to be something lacking as we will see Jeff Hardy face of against Randy Orton for the WWE Title. While I have no problem with either wrestler, I don`t see these two living up to the standards of past Royal Rumble main events that made history including many Undertaker casket matches, Last man standing matches and of course the rumble itself.
On the other hand you have Destination X which has always delivered. And I emphasize this once again that what sets TNA apart is it`s ability to constantly bring innovative matches to the table and do what it takes to impress and satisfy the fans. Something WWE is sorely missing.
